Thick cloud about the Gulf of Carpentaria near an intensifying monsoon low is generating heavy rain and storms. Cloud in other parts of QLD, the NT and WA in troughs is causing rain and storms, some intense. Cloud in NSW, VIC and TAS in a weaker trough is bringing showers.
