Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Minor Flood Warning For The Loddon River Issued at 10:23 AM AEST on Thursday 03 September 2026 Flood Warning Number: 31 MINOR FLOODING AROUND A PEAK AT APPIN SOUTH The second flood peak along the Loddon River is currently passing through Appin South, where minor flooding is likely to continue for the next few days. Renewed river level rises are possible with forecast rainfall over the weekend. Loddon River Loddon Weir to Kerang: Minor flooding is occurring along the Loddon River from Loddon Weir (TW) to Kerang. The Loddon River at Appin South is currently at 2.99 m and around a peak, with minor flooding. The Loddon River at Appin South is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.80 m) for the next few days. Renewed rises are possible with forecast rain. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs.
