Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Victoria Final Flood Warning For The Dandenong Creek Issued at 04:08 PM EST on Wednesday 17 July 2024 by the Bureau of Meteorology, Victoria Regional Office on behalf of Melbourne Water Flood Warning Number: 4 Dandenong Creek: WATER LEVEL IN DANDENONG CREEK AT POLICE ROAD RETARDING BASIN ROWVILLE HAS DROPPED BELOW THE MINOR FLOOD LEVEL. The Dandenong Creek catchment has recorded rainfall averaging about 2 mm since 09:00 AM Tuesday 16 July 2024. No significant rainfall is forecast for the catchment for rest of today. The water levels of the Dandenong Creek at various locations are falling. The level of the Dandenong Creek at Rowville (Police Road RB) is currently at 4.29 metres, below the Minor Flood Level (4.60 metres), and falling. Minor flooding in the Dandenong Creek catchment that affected the low-lying areas adjacent to the waterway is now receding. Heatherton Road between Stud Road and Monash Freeway is still impacted by flooding. The river heights at 03:56 PM Wednesday 17 July 2024 were: Bungalook Creek at Fussell Rd RB, Montrose: 2.98 metres, falling Dandenong Ck. at Liverpool Rd RB, The Basin: 2.87 metres, falling Dandenong Ck. at Wantirna Road, Heathmont: 0.73 metres, steady Blind Ck at Retarding Basin, Knox: 0.29 metres, rising Blind Ck at High Street Road, Wantirna Sth: 0.27 metres, steady Corhanwarrabul Ck at Stud Road, Scoresby: 0.55 metres, steady Dandenong Ck. at Police Road RB, Rowville: 4.29 metres, falling Dandenong Ck. at Hammond Road, Dandenong: 2.39 metres, falling Mile Ck. at Springvale: 0.02 metres, falling Mile Ck. at Keysborough: 0.37 metres, steady Dandenong Ck. at East Link, Keysborough: 1.99 metres, falling Eumemmering Ck at Lyndhurst: 1.13 metres, falling No further warning will be issued for this event.
