Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Victoria Final Flood Warning For The Maribyrnong River Issued at 10:00 PM EDT on Monday 08 January 2024 by the Bureau of Meteorology, Victoria Regional Office on behalf of Melbourne Water Flood Warning Number: 2 Maribyrnong River: Final Flood Warning for the Maribyrnong River The Maribyrnong River catchment has recorded rainfall averaging about 80 mm since 09:00 AM Sunday 07 January 2024. Rainfall totals of 0-2 mm is forecast for the catchment for the remainder of Monday 08 January 2024. Water levels of the Jacksons Creek, Deep Creek and the Maribyrnong River at various locations are rising in response to the rain. Jacksons Creek: The level of the Rosslynne Reservoir is currently at 49.37 metres, below the Minor Flood Level. It is expected to peak below the Minor Flood Level (51.40 metres) later this week. Deep Creek: The level of the Deep Creek at Darraweit Guim is currently at 3.11 metres, below the Minor Flood Level, and falling. It peaked just below the Minor Flood Level (5.50 metres) this morning. Maribyrnong River: The level of the Maribyrnong River at Keilor is currently at 0.93 metres, below the Minor Flood Level, and rising. It is expected to peak below the Minor Flood Level (3.50 metres) on Tuesday 09 January. The level of the Maribyrnong River at Maribyrnong is currently at -0.09 metres, below the Minor Flood Level, and rising. It is expected to peak below the Minor Flood Level (1.70 metres) on Tuesday 09 January. The river heights at 08:50 PM Monday 08 January 2024 were: Deep Creek at Doggetts Bridge, Lancefield: 1.32 metres, falling Deep Creek at Darraweit Guim: 3.11 metres, falling Deep Creek at Konagaderra: 5.50 metres, rising Bolinda Creek at Clarkefield: 0.78 metres, steady Deep Creek at Bulla: 3.09 metres, rising Rosslynne Reservoir, Head Gauge: 49.37 metres, rising Jacksons Creek at Sunbury: 2.08 metres, rising Steele Creek at Keilor East: 0.55 metres, falling Maribyrnong River at Keilor North: 3.74 metres, rising Maribyrnong River at Keilor: 0.93 metres, rising Maribyrnong River at Maribyrnong: -0.09 metres, rising This is the final warning that will be issued for this event.
