Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Victoria TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning for North East Forecast District. Issued at 11:52 pm Saturday, 11 July 2026. Damaging winds about a cold front have eased about northeastern Victoria. Weather Situation A moist and unstable airmass combined with a cold front crossing northeastern Victoria this evening to produce a line of showers and thunderstorms with damaging winds. This has now eased. cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas: North East This warning is now cancelled. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live. * Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees. * Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
