Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology South Australia TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning - Adelaide Region for Adelaide Hills and Adelaide council areas. Issued at 8:32 pm Saturday, 16 May 2026. Heavy rainfall has eased throughout the Adelaide region cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning - adelaide region for the following areas: Adelaide Hills and Adelaide Severe thunderstorms are no longer affecting the Adelaide Region. This warning is now cancelled. 28 mm was recorded at Glenelg in the 30 minutes to 8:00 pm. 27.8 mm was recorded at Patawalonga Lake in the 30 minutes to 8:00 pm. 24.6 mm was recorded at Adelaide Airport in the 30 minutes to 8:00 pm. Cancellation for the following areas: Playford,Onkaparinga The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Keep clear of fallen power lines. * Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road. * Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water. * Keep clear of creeks and storm drains. A more general severe thunderstorm warning remains current for parts of the Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, North West Pastoral and North East Pastoral districts. Other warnings may be current.
