Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Queensland TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning - Southeast Queensland for Gympie and Noosa Council Areas. Issued at 5:04 pm Sunday, 1 December 2024. Severe thunderstorms have now eased over the southeast. cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning - southeast queensland for the following areas: Gympie and Noosa Severe thunderstorms are no longer affecting the Southeast Queensland area (east of Dalby from Rainbow Beach to Stanthorpe). The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary. 55.0 mm was recorded at Rudds Lane (near Rathdowney) in 60 minutes to 2:30 pm. 51.0 mm was recorded at Brisbane City in the 30 minutes to 1:00pm. 70.0 mm was recorded at Rosalie in the 60 minutes to 12:53 pm. 88.0 mm was recorded at Holland Park West in the 2 hours to 12:52 pm. Emergency services advise people to: * Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous. * Stay away from storm water drains. * Stay away from fallen powerlines. * Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way. * For storm help, call the SES on 132 500 or download the free SES Assistance QLD app. A more general severe thunderstorm warning remains current for parts of the Capricornia and Wide Bay and Burnett districts.
