Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Final Flood Warning For The Don And Proserpine Rivers Issued at 10:41 AM AEST on Tuesday 10 March 2026 Flood Warning Number: 7 FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT BOWEN PUMP STATION Moderate to heavy rainfall in recent days resulted in multiple flood peaks along the Don River. At Bowen Pump Station the river is now below the minor flood level and easing. Showers are forecast for the next few days, which may lead to renewed river level rises. The situation is being monitored. A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland. Don River: River levels are falling along the Don River. The Don River at Bowen Pump Station is currently at 2.30 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The Don River at Bowen Pump Station is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.50 m). Proserpine River: River levels are falling in the Proserpine River catchment. Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
