Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Final Flood Warning For The Barron River Issued at 02:40 PM EST on Wednesday 27 March 2024 Flood Warning Number: 3 KAMERUNGA BRIDGE EASING AFTER PEAKING BELOW MINOR WEDNESDAY MORNING Rainfall totals of 30-125 mm were recorded in the 24 hours to 9:00 am Wednesday across the Barron River catchment, causing river level rises and areas of minor flooding. River levels are now easing along the Barron River. Further showers and thunderstorms are forecast over the next few days, however widespread significant rainfall is not expected. The situation will continue to be monitored closely and flood warnings issued if required. Barron River downstream of Tinaroo Dam to Barron Falls: Minor flooding is easing along the Clohesy River at Bolton Road. Barron River downstream of Barron Falls: No further flooding is expected in the Barron River downstream of Barron Falls. The Barron River at Kamerunga Bridge is currently at 3.81 metres and falling, following a peak below the minor flood level on Wednesday morning. The Barron River at Kamerunga Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m) over the next few days. Flood Safety Advice: Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.
