Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Cooks River Issued at 10:29 AM EST on Saturday 31 May 2025 Flood Warning Number: 5 FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT TEMPE BRIDGE Flooding associated with an abnormally high tide is no longer expected along the Cooks River at Tempe Bridge. Cooks River: No further flooding is expected in the Cooks River. The river level is currently at 0.28 metres and rising with the tide, below the minor flood level. The Cooks River at Tempe Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.30 m). Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
