Flood Warning for the Paterson/Williams Rivers
Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Williams River Issued at 10:03 AM EST on Tuesday 29 April 2025 Flood Warning Number: 6 NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED AT MILL DAM FALLS Heavy rainfall during Saturday and Sunday caused minor flooding along the Williams River at Dungog and Mill Dam Falls overnight Sunday into Monday. River levels are now below the minor flood level and will continue to fall during the remainder of Tuesday. Showers and the chance of thunderstorms are forecast for the next few days which may cause renewed river level rises. At this stage these renewed rises are expected to remain below minor flood levels. The situation is being monitored and warnings will resume if required. Williams River: No further flooding is expected along the Williams River. The Williams River at Mill Dam Falls is currently at 3.85 metres and falling, below the minor flood level. The Williams River at Mill Dam Falls will remain below the minor flood level (6.10 m). Williams River at Dungog: Cancellation Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
