Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Darling River Issued at 02:12 PM EST on Thursday 22 May 2025 Flood Warning Number: 32 FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT WILCANNIA River levels along the Darling River at Wilcannia fell below the minor flood level overnight Wednesday. Based on current forecast river flows and WaterNSW operational strategy, flooding is not expected at Menindee Town gauge. The Bureau will continue working closely with WaterNSW and new warning will be issued if the situation changes. Darling River downstream of Tilpa to Wilcannia: No further flooding is expected in the Darling River downstream of Tilpa to Wilcannia. The Darling River at Wilcannia is currently at 8.82 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (9.00 m). The Darling River at Wilcannia is expected to remain below the minor flood level. Darling River downstream of Wilcannia to Burtundy: Flooding is not expected at Menindee Town. The Darling River at Menindee Town is currently at 3.38 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (8.50 m). The Darling River at Menindee Town is expected to remain below the minor flood level.
