Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Lake Macquarie Issued at 09:47 AM EST on Thursday 07 July 2022 Flood Watch Number: 6 FLOODING IS NO LONGER EXPECTED IN LAKE MACQUARIE AT BELMONT Heavy rainfall between Sunday and Wednesday caused river level rises across the Lake Macquarie catchment. Lake Macquarie at Belmont reached the minor flood level (0.70 metres) early Wednesday morning on the high tide. Rainfall has eased, and no significant rainfall is expected on Thursday. Lake levels will fall slowly during Thursday. Lake Macquarie: No further flooding is expected in the Lake Macquarie. Lake Macquarie at Belmont peaked below the minor flood level (0.70m) on Thursday morning's high tide, and is below the minor flood level and falling. The Lake Macquarie at Belmont is expected to remain below the minor flood level (0.70 m). Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning.
