Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Bega River Issued at 05:04 AM EST on Saturday 24 May 2025 Flood Warning Number: 3 FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT BEGA Moderate rainfall since Thursday morning has caused river level rises across the Bega River catchment. River levels peaked below the minor flood level along the Bega River at Bega North. Bega River: Flooding no longer is expected in the Bega River. The Bega River at Bega North peaked at 3.38 metres around 02:45 am Saturday and is currently at 3.30 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (4.60 m). The Bega River at Bega North is expected to remain below the minor flood level. Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
