Flood Warning - Moruya River

Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Deua River Issued at 04:55 AM EST on Saturday 24 May 2025 Flood Warning Number: 3 NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED AT WAMBAN River levels are falling across the Moruya and Deua River catchment following moderate rainfall since Thursday morning. Based on the upstream gauge, Wamban is estimated to have peaked below the minor flood level Friday evening. Rainfall has eased and no widespread significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days. Deua River: No further flooding is expected in the Deua River. No observations are current for the Deua River at Wamban, however based on the upstream gauge the water level is estimated to be falling, below the minor flood level (4.40 m) The Deua River at Wamban is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.40 m). Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
