Flood Warning - Nepean-Hawkesbury Rivers
Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Hawkesbury And Colo Rivers Issued at 10:19 AM EST on Sunday 10 July 2022 Flood Watch Number: 46 MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT NORTH RICHMOND, WINDSOR AND PUTTY ROAD Flooding has eased across the Hawkesbury and Colo Rivers Along the Hawkesbury River at North Richmond river levels fell below the minor flood level (3.80 metres) Sunday morning. Along the Hawkesbury River at Windsor and Sackville and the Colo River at Putty Road river levels fell below the minor flood levels on Saturday. A few showers are forecast for Sunday which may result is small renewed rises. This situation is being closely monitored, and revised predictions will be provided as necessary. Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean River: Minor flooding is no longer occurring in the Hawkesbury River. The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond (WPS) fell below the minor flood level (3.80 metres) around 09:45 am Sunday and is currently at 3.78 metres and falling. The Hawkesbury River at Windsor fell below the minor flood level (5.80 metres) around 04:00 pm Saturday and is currently at 4.06 metres and falling. The Hawkesbury River at Sackville fell below the minor flood level (4.60 metres) around 09:00 am Saturday. Colo River: Minor flooding is no longer occurring along the Colo River. The Colo River at Putty Road is estimated to have fallen below the minor flood level (2.70 metres) Saturday afternoon. Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
