Issued at 10:19 AM EDT on Wednesday 26 October 2022 Flood Watch Number: 8 FLOOD WATERS EASING IN SOUTH COAST RIVERS Rainfall rates are expected to be lighter over the next few days with forecast showers and thunderstorms not expected to cause renewed flooding along the coast. The next rain bearing system looks likely to enter the west from Sunday, and move through to eastern NSW during Tuesday. A flood watch for this new system may be issued on the weekend or early next week. Catchments likely to be affected include: Tuross River Towamba River Flood warnings are current for the following catchments: Orara, Bega, Severn and Macintyre (Qld), Gwydir and Mehi, Namoi, Macquarie and Bell, Bogan, Lachlan, Belubula, Murrumidgee, Murray and Edward, Culgoa and Bokhara, Warrego, Paroo, Barwon and Darling, Mirrool Creek, Richmond, Cooma Creek, Snowy and Murray upstream of Lake Hume Flooding is no longer expected in the Towamba and Tuross Rivers. Severe Weather Warnings will be issued or updated if very heavy rain is forecast or observed.
