Issued at 10:46 pm Sunday, 7 December 2025. cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas: Northern Rivers and Northern Tablelands This warning is now cancelled. Other warnings may be current. Please check https://www.bom.gov.au/weather-and-climate/warnings-and-alerts/. 50mm of rainfall recorded in 30 minutes at Mullumbimby Creek at 8:29 pm. 119 km/h wind gust observed at Cape Byron at 8:14 pm. 44mm of rainfall recorded in 30 minutes at Goolmangar Creek, near Lismore, at 8:02 pm. Golf ball sized hail reported at Jackadgery at 6:14 pm. 91 km/h wind gust observed at Armidale at 3:17 pm. 107 km/h wind gust observed at Tamworth at 1:57 pm. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Keep clear of fallen power lines. * Keep clear of creeks and storm drains. * Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water. * Stay vigilant and monitor conditions. Note that the landscape may have changed following bushfires. * For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the SES (NSW and ACT) on 132 500. No further warnings will be issued for this event.
