Weather Situation The cold front has moved to the east of the Territory with westerly winds easing behind it. cancellation of severe weather warning for the following areas: Barkly and Simpson This warning is now cancelled. Other warnings may be current. Please check www.bom.gov.au/warnings/. 93 km/h wind gust was recorded at Alice Springs at 4 am. The Northern Territory Emergency Service advises that people should: * pull over if it is raining heavily and you cannot see, park with your hazard lights on until the rain clears * avoid driving into water of unknown depth and current * stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways * stay away from fallen power lines.
