Final Flood Warning For The Avon River
Issued at 12:46 PM WST on Friday 23 July 2021
Flood Watch Number: 4

Recent heavy rain in the saturated upper Avon river catchment caused rapid river rises during this week. Peak flood waters have now moved downstream towards Northam and Toodyay where they are NOT expected to cause flooding.
There is however areas of minor flooding in the far upper reaches of the Avon river which are not expected to cause issues for Beverley or other towns. Flood waters are causing flooding at Walyunga in the Swan River, please see the active Swan River flood warning.
Light rainfall totals today are not expected to trigger further flooding however heavier falls expected during Monday are being closely monitored for their potential to trigger renewed flooding.

Avon River to Beverley:
No further flooding is expected in the Avon River to Beverley.
Avon River from Beverley to Northam:
No further flooding is expected in the Avon River from Beverley to Northam.
Avon River from Northam to Toodyay:
No further flooding is expected in the Avon River from Northam to Toodyay.

Flood Safety Advice:
DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.}
