A low and front over the Bass Strait is bringing strong winds, showers and storms to Tas, Vic and NSW, falling as snow in alpine areas. Cool southerly winds are driving showers into WA's south and SA's south. High pressure elsewhere is bringing mostly dry and settled conditions.

A deep low will move further east over the Tasman Sea, maintaining strong winds and a few showers across Vic, eastern NSW and Tas. Showers will also affect southern SA in a SW’ly flow. A weak trough will produce light rain in western WA. Dry elsewhere.
