    An area of low pressure centred over southwest Qld will generate thunderstorms across a large portion of Qld and east and north NSW. Tropical cyclone Fina is currently weakening as a cat 2 system over northern WA. Onshore winds will bring showers to the Southeast.

    Tropical Cyclone Fina will weaken but still generate heavy rain, storms & gusty winds in the far northwest. Hot northwesterly winds inland will draw heat to the east coast & help trigger thunderstorms across the NT, Qld, NSW & Vic, some severe. Showery winds for Tas with a front.
