Weather Top: -5.5°C. PARTLY CLOUDY. A medium chance of snow showers early this morning. Mostly clear with sun patches the rest of the day. Winds westerly 30 to 45 km/h turning northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the evening. Today’s top temperature: -2°C.

Weather Village: -1°C. PARTLY CLOUDY. Foggy this morning, clear day with light winds. Today’s top temperature: 0°C

Snow Conditions: Temperatures dropping down to -5°C made for ideal snowmaking conditions as 189 guns have fired since yesterday afternoon. The lower temperatures helped to harden the base which has received a light dusting of snowfall up high in the last 24 hours. There are plenty of windblown pockets to be found across the upper sections of the mountain while snow will be hard and fast lower down. Check the webcams.

Skiing and Boarding: With the storm dropping off and all lifts set to operate, today is shaping up to be a great day of riding. Our groomers pick for both advanced and intermediate riders is the Central Spur area where fresh windblown can be found over the knoll at Exhibition, or down in Michaels Mistake. Beginners should head up to the Cruiser area where they can explore all of the nooks and crannies between the trees at Squatters Run, or the wide-open turns down Walkabout.

Terrain Parks: The Cruiser Terrain Park is open and has a selection of jumps on offer including rails, tubes and boxes plus two 15ft jumps, and two 25ft jumps in the lower section.

Groomed Runs: High Noon, Squatters Run, Walkabout, Dream Run, Eagles Crest, Supertrail, Upper Supertrail, Basin Run, Ballroom, Easy Does It, Beginner Bowl, Friday Flat.

Lifts Operating: 14 Lifts open: Snowgums Chairlift, Gunbarrel Express, Sponars T-Bar, Antons T-Bar, Easy Does It, Wombats Snowrunner, Syd’s Snowrunner, The Burrow, Easy Rider T-Bar. See here for updates.
