Alpine forecast

A cold front and low pressure system will cause periods of snow from Wednesday 16th to early Saturday 19th. Ideal conditions for hitting the slopes are expected through the remainder of the weekend, as winds weaken and visibility improves.

After a dry start, the unsettled theme returns from the middle of next week, with frequent snow-bearing weather systems indicated. There is a fair amount of model uncertainty regarding exact snowfall amounts at this stage.
