Snow and ski current weather

Rain is turning to snow with the first of two cold fronts crossing the mountains, and thankfully winds are easing before they pick up again with the next front on Friday. Snowfalls during Friday should be pretty light until the next front brings the goods later in the day.

By Saturday, around 15-30cm of fresh snow should be greeting skiers and boarders from the combined fronts. The freezing level is going to be very low over the coming days, meaning the snow will be dry and powdery, but layer up well as it's going to be freezing on the runs.

A few flurries are then possible each day until Wednesday which should be the clearest day of the coming week. There is a high level of model disagreement during the second week of the fortnight, but it's looking like some snow is possible most days.
