Snow comes early to the Northern Tablelands
Paul Graham

Snow fell on the NSW Northern Tablelands for the first time since July last year, according to weatherzone.com.au.
It is unusual to get snow this early in the year on the Northern Tablelands. The last time snow fell so early was in May 2000.
The early season snow came as temperatures plummeted behind a vigorous cold front on Saturday evening. As much as 7cm accumulated at Guyra and snow was reported to have settled in Armidale.
The Central Tablelands largely missed out this time as the coldest air was steered further north, receiving just a few flurries on higher ground around Oberon.
Meanwhile, in the Snowy Mountains, there were falls of to 15cm on the peaks. Charlotte Pass reported 12cm.
