Perfect conditions for tonight's NRL final

Perfect conditions for tonight's NRL final

After what has been an interesting few days of weather for Sydney, it looks to be near-perfect for tonight's clash.

By kickoff it will still be quite warm, around 22 degrees and it will feel slightly warmer due to the humidity levels remaining around 60% tonight. Winds will be light and from the northeast. The temperature looks to remain fairly comfortable throughout the game, with partly cloudy skies to hang around. Winds will drop off as the game finishes.

If you are planning on extending the celebrations or commiserations, the early hours of Monday morning may require a jacket as the winds ease further and clouds clear.

Sydney has seen a variety of weather features this week. Earlier, the mercury hit the mid-30’s throughout the basin, making it the warmest day since March. The warm day was followed by a strong southerly change on Friday afternoon which saw some places drop 10 degrees in 20 minutes. The pitter-patter of raindrops followed the cool change, with Saturday morning seeing healthy falls of 10-20mm throughout the region.
