Coastal showers continue for parts of NSW
Graeme Brittain, Saturday May 16, 2020 - 15:19 ESTA trough, combined with moist onshore winds are delivering further showers to eastern parts of the state today.
The Northern Rivers district is collecting the most. In the 6 hours to 3pm today, 28mm had accumulated at Coopers Shoot, 25mm at Ballina Airport and an appreciable 37mm at Cape Byron.
Showers have tended to be much lighter and less frequent further south over eastern parts of the Mid North Coast, Hunter and Sydney districts compared to yesterday - cloud has kept the coastline cool though.
Similar conditions can be expected on Sunday, with further showers affecting northeastern parts of NSW, which will be heavy at times; however, Sydney should see more in the way of sunshine.
