A dusting for TAS
Graeme Brittain

Parts of Tasmania have seen some snowfall over the past 24 hours, as a cold airmass surged up from the southwest yesterday
The higher ground of the Central Plateau and Western reported snow, with Mt Mawson still covered by a patchy layer of the white stuff. We only have to look back to last December to be reminded that snow is not exceptionally unusual for this time of year for TAS.
The upcoming week will not be as cold as recent days, with a weaker cold front due to impact the region from Monday afternoon until Wednesday, which is expected to bring up to 15mm of rain to parts of western TAS and less than 5mm to the east.
For the remainder of the week, a high pressure system will nudge in, and bring predominantly dry and settled conditions right through the festive period. TAS is looking like the place to be this Christmas
