Thick cloud swirling around Tropical Cyclone Debbie is bringing showers, storms and gusty winds to northern QLD. Cloud over southern WA, SA, VIC and NSW with troughs are causing showers and storms. Bright cloud over the tropics with a monsoon trough is generating storms.
A cyclone off northern Queensland could intensify to category four by the time it crosses the coast somewhere between Cardwell and Bowen, near Townsville, the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has warned.
