Australia Satellite Notes
Cloud over southwest WA along a trough is bringing rain. Cloud over SA, TAS and VIC ahead of a front is generating light showers. Low cloud over the north QLD coast in a humid southeasterly airstream is bringing a few showers. Mostly sunny elsewhere due to a high pressure ridge.
Looking back over the month, it has certainly been one of contrasts over New South Wales.
It could be another month before a key Tasmanian rail service, the Western Line, can be re-opened after flood damage.
The cold fronts that have frozen southeastern Australia haven't had the gas to push far enough north to cool Darwin, with heat records for the NT capital.
