Another cool Christmas Day forecast for Melbourne
11/12/2008: Melbourne can expect a mostly cloudy Christmas Day according to weatherzone.com.au with the chance of a shower or two and a high of around 22 degrees.
"The forecast will be updated daily on weatherzone.com.au but at this stage it should be a fairly cool day in Melbourne with a likely temperature range of 13 to 22 degrees, three below average for December. Skies should be mostly cloudy with the chance of one or two showers. However the lead up to Christmas looks quite warm with temperatures above average until about the 23rd," weatherzone.com.au meteorologist Thomas Saunders said.
"Christmas Day should be similar to last year when the temperature reached just 20," said Saunders.
Melbourne's hottest Christmas Day on record was in 1907 when the city sweltered to 41 degrees. The coldest was 15 degrees in 2006.
