For southeast Gulf of Carpentaria Waters for Wednesday morning.
Issued at 4:30 pm EST on Tuesday 18 June 2013

Synoptic Situation
A high pressure system [1023 hPa] over South Australia extends a ridge across
western Queensland.

Strong Wind Warning
for Southeast Gulf Waters
Expect south to southeasterly winds to reach 25 to 30 knots at times during
Wednesday morning. Seas rising to 2.7 metres.

Winds are expected to decrease below 26 knots by midday Wednesday.



The next warning will be issued by 11 pm AEST.

Please be aware
Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here,
and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.
