FIRE WEATHER WARNING
For the northwest Darwin-Daly District
Issued by the BUREAU OF METEOROLOGY, DARWIN
at 0500 CST Wednesday 1 OCTOBER 2014
Moderate to fresh, dry and gusty east to southeast winds are expected to cause
SEVERE FIRE DANGER over the northwest Darwin-Daly District today.
Fires will be very difficult to control, unpredictable, fast moving and very
dangerous. Measures to ensure survival should be the primary consideration.

The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Director, NT Fire and
Rescue Service have declared a FIRE BAN DAY valid until 5 am Thursday 2 October
No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the
portion of the Northern Territory lying within the VERNON Fire Protection Zone
and the DARWIN Emergency Response Area.
NOTE: This includes the BATCHELOR and ADELAIDE RIVER Emergency Response Areas,
and the Litchfield and Coomalie Shires.
