FIRE WEATHER WARNING
For the northwest Darwin-Daly District

Issued by the BUREAU OF METEOROLOGY, DARWIN
at 0500 CST Tuesday 29 JULY 2014
for today.

Moderate to fresh, dry and gusty east to southeast winds are expected to cause
SEVERE FIRE DANGER over the northwest Darwin-Daly District today.

Fires will be very difficult to control, unpredictable, fast moving and very
dangerous. Measures to ensure survival should be the primary consideration.

FIRE BAN
The Chief Fire Control Officer, Bushfires NT and the Director, NT Fire and
Rescue Service have declared a FIRE BAN DAY valid until 5am Wednesday 30 July
2014.

No person shall light a fire or cause a fire to be lit in the open in the
portion of the Northern Territory lying within the Darwin Emergency Response
Area and the Vernon Fire Control Region, including Litchfield and Coomalie
Shires.

NOTE: This includes the BATCHELOR and ADELAIDE RIVER Emergency Response Areas.
