Alpine forecast

A high pressure system is calming skies while maintaining the chill, great for snow-making.

It will stay cold all week with help from a few passing fronts in quick succession. Thursday's front has potential to be intense enough to bring more than 5cm of fresh snow to the main resorts (most likely Mt Buller and Baw Baw) and also brisk winds.

Another good chance for fresh snow is during the first week of July when a decent cold front-or-two is again likely. There are signs of this being one of our snowiest weeks of the season so far with more than 20cm possible.
