Western Australia Satellite Notes
Cloud blanketing the northeast half of WA with a deep trough is causing rain and scattered storms. Bright-looking, patchy cloud in the south with the edge of this trough is generating storms. Low cloud in the southwest in onshore winds is bringing the odd shower.
Mother's Day is approaching and the forecast charts are looking pretty grim for a lot of regional Australia.
A cold front is surging towards Perth, bringing thunderstorms and wind.
Monster swells off the coast of south-west Victoria have created a wave of excitement among local surfers.
