Australia Satellite Notes
Low cloud over the SA coast with a cold front is bringing a few showers. Scattered cloud over the WA interior in a trough associated with the cold front is producing isolated thundery showers. Cloud moving offshore from VIC and TAS with a trough is producing showers in its wake.
Although temperatures across the southern states have been more seasonal over the recent days, temperatures along the eastern seaboard have remained quite balmy.
Water is flowing into outback Lake Eyre, but somewhat differently from past flooding of the remote saltpan, travel guide Rex Ellis says.
A strong and complex low is moving over New Zealand and has been generating heavy rain, isolated thunderstorms and gale force winds.
