Shoalhaven Council is staunchly defending its management of local waterways during floods across the region in August.
Producers are being urged to keep a look out for Pimelea as there have been recent reports of the weed in parts of western and southern inland Queensland.
Queensland has just come out of a much warmer and drier winter than normal, with much of the drought-stricken state receiving almost no rain for the whole season, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM).
