What's the weather doing this ANZAC Day?

What's the weather doing this ANZAC Day?

Wondering what weather will await the rising of the sun this ANZAC Day? Here is the run through of the all the nation's weather.

The national's capital, Canberra, will be its typical frosty self, with the mercury near-or-just below freezing at dawn. Otherwise, skies will be mostly clear allowing for a good view of the Royal Australian Air Force fly-over near midday.

Sydney is expecting a partly cloudy sky and a mild temperature of 12°C. A weak southerly change will push through around 9am, bringing some light showers and mist for the National Ceremony. Might be worth bringing an umbrella or raincoat for the trip home.

In Melbourne, it will be partly cloudy and around 11°C. Some light showers are possible around dawn and the middle of the day, particularly for eastern and southeastern suburbs. However, skies will start to clear for a mostly sunny afternoon.

Hobart should see mostly cloudy conditions and mild temperature of 9°C. Skies will become clearer during the day, but gusty north-to-northwesterly winds will make it feel 2-4 degrees cooler than the top of 17°C.

Brisbane and Perth will both be clear but a little chilly at 13°C. Despite this, conditions will warm quickly during the day to a pleasant top of 26°C in Brisbane and 27°C in Perth.

Adelaide will have a cool start of just 9°C, 4 degrees below the April average, but skies will be clear. Skies will remain clear as the day reaches 20°C, although southwesterly winds will make it feel a degree-or-two cooler than the actual temperature.

Darwin will have sunny and dry weather with gusty southeasterly winds, especially in the middle of the day. Temperatures will be around 23°C at dawn, rising to a warm 35°C during the day.

For the rest of the country, rain is likely for the central and northern coasts of Queensland, as well as western parts of Tasmania. Some light showers are also possible along the south coasts of SA, Victoria and NSW and the north coast of Tasmania. Otherwise, conditions will be mostly clear and mild throughout at dawn, leading into a warm day in northern parts of WA, grading to mild temperatures in the southeast.
