Warm nights and chilly days for southern WA

Warm nights and chilly days for southern WA
A mixed bag of weather for Western Australia's southwest corner. Suburbs in the Southwest had a warm start to the day, with the mercury four-to-seven degrees above average. Jarrahwood was the stand out, only dropping to 15.5 degrees this morning. In fact the last three mornings have been unseasonably warm compared to the start of the month where the it was a chilly 3.5 degrees. Similarly Perth suburbs were a few degrees warmer than average thanks to the cloud cover provided by the frequent showers over the past few days. Although the cloud and showers and onshore winds have also lead to cooler days, shaving four-to-six degrees of the average daytime temperature. For this time of year, Gooseberry Hill would normally see temperatures in the mid twenties, although today the mercury spent most of the day below the twenty degree mark. Over the next few days this pattern will continue, with showery onshore winds making the mornings warmer but the days will be a few degrees cooler. The skies will clear over the southwest corner by Thursday which will bring the overnight temperature down, but the days will finally be warmer.
