Temperatures in Hobart making for an interesting November

Temperatures in Hobart making for an interesting November
It has been a mixed bag of temperatures for Tasmania so far this November, with snow falls even gracing the peaks earlier in the month during a spell of cold weather. Adding to this confusing weather is the maximum temperature expected on Tuesday. Although the expected 27 degrees for Hobart doesn't seem all that high, it will be 8-10 degrees warmer than the days preceding it, the hottest day since March this year, and nearly 10 degrees above the long-term November average maximum temperature. Warm northwesterly winds ahead of a cold front are expected to drive the heating on Tuesday. Forecast temperatures could have been even higher, were it not for the expected cloud cover and occasional rainfall associated with the system. Temperatures are expected to drop significantly with the front, and Hobart should remain below 20 degrees in the wake of the system until early next week.
