While today is a stunner, it won't be the case this weekend. For those attending ANZAC dawn services, it will be a calm morning. Winds will be predominately from the west, with clear skies. Temperatures during the service will be in the mid-teens in the city, although a few degrees cooler in the west. A trough and upper pool of cold air arriving from the west will bring a noticeable change in the weather during Saturday. Showers and thunderstorms will begin to rumble through western suburbs during the late morning and spread east, disrupting two-up games throughout the basin. By the evening, showers will become more widespread. In the early hours of Sunday, a majority of the showers will have cleared western suburbs, with the system beginning to move offshore. A low pressure system will develop within the trough, generating gusty winds along the coast during the mid morning and early afternoon, bringing further showers onshore and causing the temperature to struggle to reach 21 degrees, although it will feel colder. By Monday, a high pressure ridge will build over the state, with much more settled conditions in it's wake. Temperatures will remain cool for the next few days, with onshore winds bringing brief showers to the coast.
