Snow news is good news - for some

Snow news is good news - for some
A winter wonderland has resided over southeastern Australia for the last few days, with icy winds and heavy snow showers gracing the slopes of Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania. Even now, snow is continuing to fall over these areas as the required conditions persist, at least for a little longer. Mount Buller, Mount Hotham, and even Thredbo have received between 20 to 40 centimetres of snow over the last few days. Mount Buller has been the hardest hit, with around 70 centimetres blanketing the mountain since the weekend. However, the glorious white falls are predicted to ease up over the next 12 hours as a ridge of high pressure moves over the area, clearing skies and bringing light winds. Perhaps only a few more centimetres are on their way for the higher ground of VIC and TAS. As for the chilly temperatures, they should remain for a few more days, with Alpine regions hovering around zero degrees until Thursday.
