Look out for whopping storms!
Brett Dutschke

Huge thunderstorms are bringing heavy rain and damaging winds to a large area of southeastern Australia and there's more to come.
Some of the heaviest downpours have been in Victoria including Melbourne.
Heidelberg in Melbourne's northeast copped 18mm between 2:30pm and 3pm this afternoon, including 12mm in 10 minutes which led to flash flooding. This caused the temperature to drop 10 degrees in 10 minutes.
Similar storms in northern Victoria brought a massive 59mm to Woomelang last night, their heaviest rain in six years. This afternoon Kyabram gained 13mm in just 10 minutes.
Damaging winds have been recorded in the following Victorian and NSW towns:
-Eildon (98km/h)
-Narrandera (100km/h)
-Forbes (109km/h)
The area of potentially severe storms is large, from eastern South Australia to eastern Victoria to central NSW.
This storm area will edge east of Melbourne tonight and clear off the east coast of Victoria and southern NSW early morning.
But storms will fire up again tomorrow with a high chance producing damaging winds in southern SA and western and central Victoria. Large hail is possible too. In Victoria flash flooding is again likely due to lingering moisture.
