After a fairly mild working week, the mercury is set to rise early next week for Western Australian hubs. A low pressure trough will deepen from Monday drawing a very warm airmass over the coast. The state's capital is shaping up to see a pair of very warm days on Tuesday and Wednesday with 36 and 35 degrees forecast. Wednesday 27th looks to have a more intense airmass lingering over the city, however a seabreeze is likely to develop in the mid-afternoon moderating maximum temperatures. Instead, Tuesday should be the warmer day despite the airmass being not as hot. Steady east-southeasterly winds throughout the day are likely to exclude any risk of a relieving on shore flow. This trough will promptly swing inland and deepen, allowing the warmth to filter over Kalgoorlie which is forecast to see a 37 degree day on Thursday. This trough will also produce some fairly dynamic thunderstorms each afternoon. Wednesday brings the best chance of severe thunderstorms to the Perth region with heavy rain and damaging winds the most significant features. Thursday will see the region of thunderstorm activity shift inland across the Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, South West and Southern Coastal regions. Warmth will linger following this trough late next week with forecast maxima set to remain in the high twenties.
