Fair weather for finals footy

 Fair weather for finals footy
Breezy northerlies, clear skies and a warm afternoon set for the grand final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, while winds stay light with a warmer than average night for the preliminary final in Sydney. Those heading out to the Melbourne Cricket Ground to watch the Hawthorn Hawks take on the Sydney Swans are set for a great afternoon. A sunny 23 degrees will be accompanied by warm northerly winds making for near perfect conditions for some entertaining footy. These northerly winds may cause a bit of havoc for long range kicks as they could gust up to 30km/h. These northerly winds will slowly strengthen throughout the game and start to shift to the northwest as a cold front approaches from the southwest. This front isn't set to hit until tomorrow afternoon so fans can cheer without a worry of the typical 'four seasons in a day' Melbourne weather. In Sydney tonight, the Penrith Panthers and Canterbury Bulldogs will play for a spot in the grand final next weekend against the South Sydney Rabbitohs and you couldn't ask for better conditions. While there is the risk of a few light showers this afternoon, tonight is set for a mostly clear, 14 degrees with light winds. Perfect conditions for a fast flowing game. A high pressure system situated over the east coast can be thanked for the clear skies and light winds for the game tonight. From tomorrow in Sydney, winds are set to strengthen and shift to the north, bringing a run of one of some warmer days before a change cools things down around mid week.
