The snow season may be slowly drawing to a close, but there are signs of a few more flurries yet to come. Although a little uncertain at this stage, the best signs of any snowfall come in the second week of the next fortnight, with this coming week looking relatively snow-less. A front crossing to the south on Sunday should bring a few flurries of around a centimetre or two, just enough to add a fresh layer to the current coverage. Although there isn't a great deal of snow expected this week, conditions are otherwise great to head out to the slopes. High pressure dominating over the southeast is bringing largely clear skies, excellent visibility, and light winds lasting until around the middle of the week. Winds will increase a little through Sunday and early Monday as the front passes, but come Monday lunchtime these should have eased again. As well as being the time of the year when we start to see less snowfall, it is also the time of year when snow already on the ground hardens overnight. This isn't all bad however, with warmer days through spring meaning it softens a lot during the day, making it somewhat less painful when you fall over. The next signs of any snow come towards the end of the upcoming working week as the next frontal system moves across the southeast. There is some uncertainty at this point around how much is expected, so keep an eye on the forecast over the next few days.
