Coldest start to July for Perth in six years

Jacobus Cronje
Following a wet, windy and cold start to July, Perth is expecting another round of wet weather during the week. A cold front on Saturday brought over 20mm of rainfall and a cool 18 degree day to Perth. This has been the coldest and wettest start to July since 2011. Although rain has cleared over the southwestern parts of the country, cold in the wake of the front brought a brisk 6 degree start to Perth on Sunday. A series of cold fronts should impact the region in the coming week, likely leading to gusty showers on Monday and Wednesday.
