Cloud suppressing temperatures over Sydney

Cloud suppressing temperatures over Sydney
While temperatures are already soaring into the high 20's over Illawarra, the mercury is struggling in the low 20's across Sydney this morning. As of 09:30, the temperature in a sunny Nowra was 27.7 degrees, while further north in Sydney the temperature was over four degrees lower due to a blanket of cloud. Cloud cover is notoriously difficult to forecast and today is no exception. However, based on satellite imagery, the clearer conditions south of Sydney are slowly nudging closer to the city. This afternoon should see more in the way of sunshine. It is important to remember that sun damage can still occur even with cloud and sun protection measures should be taken.
