Southern NSW experienced an unseasonably chilly Monday night with temperatures up to eight degrees below average due to clear skies and a cool air mass moving in from the south.
In the southern tablelands Cooma and Taralga dropped down to two degrees, seven and eight degrees below average respectively. Goulburn fell to six degrees, six below average and the coldest December night in four years. Compare this to Dubbo, which experienced similar conditions expect for a blanket of overnight cloud that kept temperatures to a 16 degree minimum.
